Step 3: Create Sections & Folders Group the photos into "sections" of the different parts of the honoree's life. Most videos will begin with the earliest photos available; this is simply pictures of that person from infant through young adult. In the case of a video for a Wedding or an Anniversary, there would be a section for both him and her. Examples of sections would be "Baby Photos" "Dating", "Family", "Friends", "Children", "Grandchildren", "Military Service", and "Together". The number of photos is up to you. Now take everything you have in your "No Pile" and put it out of site. Now, using an equal number of folders or envelopes put your photos from each section into each folder or envelope. (8 sections of 40 photos each = 320 photos). Choose the Music you want and call or email our Studio to advise us what Music you are sending with your material. You can also arrange your video without sections, by putting all your memories together, close to chronological order by simply putting a number on the back of a Post-It-Note® and attaching the Post-It-Note® to the back of each photo.
Remember to include a couple of photos from most every year of each family member's life, if possible. As you are going through your photos and slides, try to think about what would be the perfect music playing in the background. Try to keep the songs in the proper time frame. If your photos are from the honoree's Army Days in 1944, think about using Big Band music. With photos from the 50's you may wish to use Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin. If you need suggestions about the music please call or email our studio. Our toll free number 1-888-831-0389 eastern time, help is always available. Please then email our studio with the list of music you have chosen with the Song Title and Artist. All your Photos, Slides, Film, Video and Music are all returned in the same condition with which they are received. Don't worry about the length of the music you select, we make everything fit perfectly!
We should receive everything we need to produce your video at least 3 to 4 weeks before the time the finished product is needed, depending on the number of photos you have. Remember to first call our studio BEFORE you send in any material. |
